On the Côte Vermeille in the Languedoc Roussillon region of southern France one finds the beautiful town of Collioure. In the early 20thC, drawn by the light and beauty of the area, several Fauve artists made Collioure their meeting place. Matisse, Picasso, among others were inspired by its royal castle and medieval streets. The town has placed open frames at various spots around town highlighting some of the scenes that influenced these artists.
Ailsa’s travel theme: Frame
Wonderful! Mine was similar shot taken in NZ. I love it when places put these kind of frames up!
This is great, Lynne!
