Hugh’s photo challenge Week 12 – games
I’d visited Carcassonne one summer on the odd day when it was overcast and drizzling. It looked good in a gloomy kind of way, but the photos came out very flat. You seem to have got a very flat sky too.
Yes, it was a cloudy day in October. Sometimes gloomy skies are great for photos but most of mine are rather flat. Still a good experience at Carcassonne though. 🙂
I loved Carcassonne! My friend and I first found out about it by playing a board game of the same name in NZ so when we made it to France we decided to visit. We were not disappointed! The Youth Hostel we stayed at was inside the walls, great situation!
There is also a well hidden and disguised Best Western in the old Cité. We didn’t stay there we appreciated the fact that it was so well disguised so as not to intrude on the experience.
Thanks for participating in this week’s photo challenge, Lynne. I’ve always wanted to play Petanque but have never been able to find it being played anywhere. I’ll keep looking.
Yeah Carcassonne absolutly worth visiting… 🙂
Absolutely! And we had a delicious meal of cassoulet there too. 🙂
